A Christmas Gift from The Curious Dragons

For our Christmas gift to The Curious Dragons community we have made a quick five minute game with a Christmas theme.

The printable resources are attached, including two boards and then six number cards.

Learning objective: to be able to recognise the numerals 2 – 6.

This is a game for 2 players and is a Visualise it! and Symbolise it! game and should be played after game 3 in our “Counting with Understanding” box.

Instructions:

Each player has a board, the pink board is the board with smaller number of parcels on, the number cards should be placed face down.

Each player takes a turn to pick up a card, if the card matches the number of parcels one of the dragons has on the board then they place the card over the relevant dragon. If the card doesn’t match then return it face down on the table.

The winner is the first person who covers all the parcels on their board.

At the end of the game you could also discuss with your child which dragon had the most presents and which dragon had the least.

Have a fabulous Christmas xxx
